Mountain Bike Orienteering (MTBO) is a navigation event done on a mountain or cross bike where all checkpoints are located along trails. Riders decide the most efficient route as they make their way through the course, obtaining Control Points (Cps) in any order they choose. Riders may participate solo or in teams, but team members must stay together during the entire event (this is not a relay). Helmets are required.
